ART. III, SECTION 4. ELECTION LAWS

April 16, 2008 – 6:06 am

The General Assembly by law shall define permanent residence for voting purposes, insure secrecy of voting and the integrity of the election process, and facilitate registration and voting by all qualified persons. Laws governing voter registration and conduct of elections shall be general and uniform.

  1. One Response to “ART. III, SECTION 4. ELECTION LAWS”

  2. We should just flat out say, “Every political party and/or independent candidate is required to obtain the same number of signatures to get on the ballot.” Then we come up with a number and make the same rules for everybody. The system we have in place favors those currently in power. This has to stop! Don’t even give the Assembly a chance to vote on the issue of who gets on a ballot. This is the biggest issue around the country. Americans have no more than 2 choices in every office at the federal, state and usually local offices. That is NOT democratic!
